Britains big freeze has forced the cancellation of the first ttc 2010 aquathlon. Sorry.
Harwicke Tri Somehow Chris must have access to the White Queen; as he managed to arrange splendid weather for the inaugural Harwicke Tri as he has done for all his Aquathlon. There was a strong, full field and, apart from some teething problems, it went very smoothly. The general feedback was very good from spectators and competitors alike. There were some changes that people spoke about. Even more so, people’s imaginations were running wild with ideas for the future. Please could you put any ideas down and send them through so they can be captured so we can come back better next year. Well done to all those who took the time to help and especially Chris for organizing the whole thing National Relays Sadly with Fran unable to compete the relays teams will need to convert to an all bloke affair. The teams have been assigned as follows Team 1: Nick, Rhys, Jon R, Andy Shipton Team 2/3 from Chris, Roddy, Phil, Rich, Ali, Leigh, Brad, Steve Maber, Steve Rose and Chris’ mate from Loughborough. Clearly there are too many people so if you are not able to make please say now. The teams will be confirmed Thursday morning after swimming as we need to let the organizers know If there are any alterations to this please let us know ASAP Waterland Aquathlon There was another good turnout for the midweek Aquathlon @ Cotswold Water Park. Excellent virgin race from Brad. His time keep tumbling Nick 26:53 Brad 30:29 Rich 31:10 Phil 31:33 The last in the series (summer over!) is 26th August – next Wednesday. Let’s see if we can get a good turnout. Especially as Nick looks like he could win the whole series

First some results. Millie won the inter schools for Worcestershire XC in Malvern on friday16th January. Her cross country season is going from strength to strength. She also stands a chance of winning the Gloucestershire too Tewkesbury Aquathlon. The sun shone once again on our Chris’ event, but the recent rain made the run very soggy. There was a great race between Val and Joanne, who are both emerging as Aquathlon specialists. Joanne came in just over 50secs ahead of Val who had only landed back in the country early that morning. Jon, Tim and Leigh completed the run only after the scuba divers got shirty. Looking at the weekend. Kev has asked to make sure that we start at 7.30 prompt. His sessions are based on 1 ½ hours and we can’t do the lot unless we get going on time. Look on the bright side he can’t fo another T30. Can he? Finally, we have a first brick session on Saturday. After swimming we will head off to Croft farm. The plan is: 10:30 set off on bikes. Ride for 30 minutes around the Bredon Hill route then stop and come back/or complete the whole 33km route! 11:30-45 get your runners on and do the 5km route from Croft Farm down fleet lane 12:00 coffee at Croft Farm It is up to the individual to do as much as they want. We plan on to do this or similar every 4 weeks.
