Event Details

 

Parking

We'd like to minimise the carbon impact of the races so please share cars wherever you can, you can also leave you bike safely at Race HQ. 

 

Some parking is available at the Ashton cricket club and sports field near the Race HQ and on the roads around the village. Please be considerate when parking, it helps us keep the support of the village.

We'll sign post the parking on the day.

Toilets

Toilets are available at Race HQ. There may be queues, so please give yourself enough time. 

Bag storage

You can leave a bag with our entry marshals. We’ll do our best to keep it safe but we cannot accept liability for any loss or damage.

Refunds or transfers 
If you can't run for whatever reason or want to transfer your number to a friend or family member then that's fine just contact us at ashton5k.run@gmail.com and we can help you out. 

Teas, coffee & cake and water
We have a refreshments stall serving tea, coffee and cakes and water will be available at the start and finish lines.

 

We will be minimising single use items so please bring a water bottle that you can refill with us when needed.

 

Presentations and prizes 

After the race please stay for the presentations which happen after the final runner has finished. Your support for the winners and presentations is appreciated.

Race Day

Registration and Entries

Please get here in time to register and collect your race number at Race HQ by 8.45 am. 

 

We can accept entries on the day, but it does add to the chaos so please click the button to enter in advance whenever possible. We won't be able to take any on the day entries after 8.30 am.

After the Run

Provisional finish times will be published as soon as possible after the run, we'll have a QR code at Race HQ that will take you to the results.

 

Presentations and prizes 

After the race please stay for the presentations which happen after the final runner has finished. Your support for the winners and presentations is appreciated.

Junior finishers receive a medal. Seniors will receive something to mark the occasion.

 

Overall Female and Open winners will receive a cash prize. Over 40s and Junior (Female and Open) categories will receive a prize.

Safety Information

Road safety and traffic

The road will be formally closed, signposted and marshalled at key points. 

​

In an emergency 

In the event of minor injuries we have qualified First Aiders available. However in the event of an emergency please call 999 in the normal way. 

​

Under 16s

Under 16’s are welcome to run. Children under 14 should be accompanied on the run by an adult. Under 16's remain the responsibility of parents or a responsible adult at all times.

 

Headphones

Feel free to wear them, but please ensure that you can hear those around you.
