It's cold but there's plenty on
The cold weather has restricted some activities, last Sunday's bike ride being one of the casualties however the Park run has continued with Nick upping his age-related score to 71.88%.
The Friday night Track sessions have begun with around a dozen members making the first session on what was a very chilly evening. Its a great chance to get some early season speed into those legs. There are nine sessions left and they are free to gold and silver members. Bronze members can join in but there is a small charge.
A couple of members managed greater distances, Teresa completed the Doynton Hard Half Marathon and not to be outdone Phil put in an 11 hour stint completing an impressively difficult 30 mile course at the Winter Tanners run. Its profile is below.
Looking ahead, after the success of the first Aquathlon, the next one on the 12th February is beginning to fill up so get your entry in asap!
The Try a Tri course is open for entries. So if you know of anyone who fancies giving it a go, direct them towards our website or Anne.
Hopefully the weather will have warmed up by then.
Ps The next couple of weeks news updates will be based on the 2016 membership list to allow any laggards the opportunity to pay at least their £30.00 basic membership. If you are thinking that maybe you won't renew your membership this year, please contact me or a committee member of your choice so that we can discuss it.
