Soon be Spring!

Updates from now on will be based on the 2017 membership list so if you want to see your name up in lights, you know what to do! Seriously though, although I see a relatively healthy 80-ish people are on the list, a number of long standing members are yet to renew. If anyone would like to speak to me or another committee member in confidence, please get in touch via the Facebook page and we'll see what we can do.

The cold months of January and February do put a bit of a damper on Club activity but there are a few things to report on.

The local park run saw Stuart maintain good form with a 63.29% age related score, Kate managed 59.12% following on from the Friday track session whereas I trailed in with a 56.92%. Speaking of the track sessions, it's three down, seven to go. We are still waiting for a spot of decent weather though. All silver and bronze members welcome at the Prince of Wales stadium on Friday ready to run for 7pm.

Finally the performance of the week goes to Phillip who managed to complete the Gloucester Spring marathon in 5:44.

Looking forward, the second of our popular aquathlons takes place this weekend. I'm sure most of you have been in touch with PJ about helping etc. Don't forget, it is quite often possible to both help with some tasks and also compete. I look forward to seeing as many members as possible.

Traditionally, this is the time of the year that members start planning races and events. Please let me know what you have on your to do list. I won't hold you to it but I can keep an eye on the results and maybe encourage you to write a few words for the website.
