The Season heats up!

With the season in full flow, the results are coming in thick and fast.

Mark S survived the crowded start which he described as 'like being in a washing machine but not as clean'. to finish below his target time of 1:30 in the Bristol Harbourside Tri.

Tom described his morning as one of 'really tough racing'. Although he was disappointed with his run time on a tough course, he finished in the top 50 in the English aquathlon championships which was part of the ITU events at Leeds. A nice medal and definitely something to build on!

More locally the Cotswold Ladies only Tri took place at the Cirencester Lakes with a good TTC turnout and some fine results. In the Sprint Tri, Jo finished 60th of 150 in 1:24, followed by Emma in 1:26 who pipped Becky by 2 seconds followed by Julia who recovered from a poor swim to finish in 1:38. In the Super Sprint TTC had two top 20 finishers with Tracy in 1:05 and Sheena in 1:09. Jackie finished the trio off in 1:14. In the Novice Tri, Glenda, one of this year's Try a Tri group finished a great 10th in 1:01.

Anne, Gwynn and Karl had what Gwynn described as a 'Fun day out' at the Ultimate Half in Shropshire. Karl was first out the water in a super time of 28:54. Finishing 38th with a sub 5:30 time of 5:24. Anne finished in 6:47 looking strong and Gwynn recorded his fastest 1900m race swim to date of 34:00 and finished in 5:05. 20th

TTC was also well represented at the Avenger Tri series. In the Standard Distance, Martin's improving swim times meant he finished in the top 20 overall and 2nd in his age group in 2:57. Not to be outdone Jane also finished 2nd in her age group in 3:03 but managed 4th woman home as well. Tony finished 7th in his age group in 3:30. In the Spring Distance Nick Slim kept up his impressive series of results finishing 1st overall in a time of 1:08.

Finally on the multi discipline front, Kate O’Hara competed in the first of the Stourport Go Tri Duathlon series and was 2nd female in 32:08.

Meanwhile in darkest, wet Wales Teresa took on the Man v Horse race. A regular said that in the twelve years he has done this race, this year's conditions were by far the most atrocious so well done Teresa on finishing in 5:36.

And despite all this action several club members supported the LINC 3 counties 40 mile bike ride.
