Running (and a bit of swimming)

Since the last update, running has become the focus for a number of members and the extended Aquathlon series is also upon us.

Our fellow athletes at Tewkesbury Running Club recently held their annual Guy Fawkes 5 event. This is becoming increasingly popular and these days sells out within hours. Still, a number of TTC members managed to get under the wire. 1st TTCer home was Russ (34.25) followed by Dan

(38.46), Kate (39.08), Jo (42.20), Linda (42.35) and Tracy and Jennie who finished together in 53.50.

Jo and Jennie followed up on their Guy Fawkes exploits by running the Malvern 10k in 54.31 and 1.07.00 respectively.

Meanwhile at the more brutal end of the running spectrum, Teresa finished the Snowdonia marathon in 4.56 followed home by Phil, who merits and update all of his own, in 5.24.

Phil followed this up by finishing the Shakespeare Autumn Marathon in 4.55 which earned him a 'Good for Age' in the 70+ category at next year's London Marathon. A very impressive result.

The weekend saw the first of our extended Aquathlon series. TTC members turned out in force to marshal and a few members still managed to compete. Tom managed a great result finishing 3rd overall in 27.47. He was followed home by Becky (39.05), Steve (39.33), Kathy (41.53) and Helen (57.52). The next event is scheduled for 10th December so pop it into your diary!
