The Radley Show and other trips around the country.

This latest update, which it is fair to say has slipped a bit, will start off as the Tom Radley show as he seems to be everywhere! I probably haven't picked them all up but I know in the past couple of months he has done the Thorpe Park Sprint Tri. finishing 24th in his category category in 1:12

He was also 3rd at the Cricklade triathlon. He claimed he never really got going on the bike but was really pleased to clock 18:36 for the run.

He also managed 8th at Sherborne Triathlon to take 2nd in the under 30s.

Finally he was 13th in his age category at Leeds in the British standard distance championships in 2:12:35. - Definitely running on Duracells!

Meanwhile Four TTC members braved a trip to foreign parts to take on the Cardiff Olympic Tri. which starts with a swim in the beautiful bay. Mark Stephens led them home in 2:29, closely followed by Alec in 2:36, Pete in 2:48 and Mark Boyce, in 3:05

Going slightly more northerly, Chris Redfern took on the Birmingham Sprint event finishing in a time of 1:19:34 to take 4th in his age group

It was nip and tuck in the Women's only sprint at the Cotswold Water Park. Becky and Jo were closely match throughout the race with Jo holding on to take Club honours in 1:23:28, pipping Becky by 13 seconds in 1:23:41. Probably the closest finish of the year.

Martin took on the Titan Middle Distance Tri which is described as starting with a 1.2 mile two-lap swim around the park lake, fed by the waters of the Black Mountains followed by a 60-mile epic bike course. The quiet roads have excellent riding surfaces and the route tours the beautiful Brecon Moors before culminating with a sustained climb back to T2. The final 13.1 mile run is a three-lap route around the lake and park – so it’s great for spectators. Martin got round in 6:26 to take 26th in his category.

Liz took advantage to dive into Mallard's Pike lake by doing the Forest of Dean Tri:- 'It was a fantastic opportunity to swim a 750m lap of the lake that I've walked around so many times beforehand, lovingly admiring the ducks and smelling the coffee. The 20k bike route followed the forests undulating roads (which reminded me of the lumpy 10 mile circuit we did at the relay earlier in the year, that I'm still having nightmares of), followed by an out and back 5k trail run. I think I got off lightly compared to Cristian's Wild Boar event that followed on Sunday'

Finally it wouldn't be a proper update without a picture of Helen, the Queen of Kit! She managed the Cheddar Gorge Half Marathon in 2:26. She did concede that her legs ached but she had the consolation of being first in her age group.

That's a selection of what Club members have been up to recently. There will be a few that have slipped through the net but as usual, feel free to let people know what you've been up to. You send it - I'll post it!
